I held her in my arms as she left us this
morning. An act of love, an act of kindness, and I feel crushed. She was my
little girl and I miss her! Elmo: November 7, 2000 to December 9, 2009.
We have created a new
blog for Elmo to help make these updates easier. Plus you can send Elmo
your best wishes there! Elmo really appreciates everyone's concern over the
past few days!
Thank you to everyone!!! She is one amazing dog!
A few weeks ago, my owners and the
vet thought I was going to have puppies. As it turns out,
I am very ill and am not expecting. I do not know what the future holds for
me but I
do know that I am loved by my owners and so many people. Jeff and Sherry will
update
here with any important information about my recovery!
Saturday, May 23: Elmo is still doing well! She is doing all of the normal dog stuff that dogs do each day! Check the blog for more info soon!
Tuesday, May 5: We did not get encouraging news from the vet today. Elmo's cancer is an extremely rare form and they do not even know how to begin treatment. They are speaking with an oncologist soon for more information. I really had a hard time comprehending what was being said to me this afternoon; I do wish I could tell you more! As soon as there is more information, will post it here! In the mean time, here is a short video I just shot of Elmo enjoying some yummy treats! (Thank you Judy!)
Saturday, May 2: I am happy to report that Elmo is doing very well today. She was ready to chase squirrels this morning. Thursday was a long rough night and Friday was even better. Here is the story: Elmo has ovarian cancer. She had a tumor the size of a baseball and she went into surgery immediately on Thursday morning. It was a very serious and delicate operation but she made it through. We are waiting for test results and hoping for the very best news possible. This is one amazing dog!
Thursday, April 30: The vet said today that Elmo is one tough dog and she should be around for a long time. She had major surgery today but did come home with me tonight. Keep your prayers with her and us as a difficult time is ahead. In the mean time, count your blessings and cherish every moment you have with your loved ones and your pets!
